The King of Morocco has sent a congratulatory message to the Kingdom’s national football team, runners-up of the Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco 2025).

In this message, the Monarch expressed His warmest congratulations to the players, coaches and technical, medical and administrative staff, as well as to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation officials for the honorable continental triumph.

The Sovereign emphasized that “Through this distinguished campaign, you have demonstrated that perseverance, dedication, and team spirit are the keys to achieving excellence. You have also shown the world what Moroccan and African youth can accomplish when they believe in their talents and abilities,”.

“You also proved, through determination and your heroic and honorable performance, the importance of my strategic vision to invest in human capital and modernize the Kingdom’s infrastructure, which demonstrated their resilience and their world-class level of preparation ahead of the organization of the 2030 World Cup,” the King added. 

For the record, this edition of AFCON has been organized by Morocco from the 21th December 2025 to 18 January 2026. In this regard, Morocco has successfully hosted the AFCON and was able to showcase once more that the continent of Africa is capable of organizing world class event at the highest level.

With this successful organization of CAN, the Kingdom, through the leadership of his Monarch, has therefore passed its preliminary test on its continent, ahead of hosting the 2030 World Cup, which it will share with Spain and Portugal.

It should be noted that the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco has been internationally recognized as a resounding success, given its flawless organization, the warm welcome given to the teams and their supporters, and the expertise demonstrated in terms of security. Thus, This CAN has been graced with the presence of many famous and important personalities from the world of politics, sports and cinema.
