The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) KZN division have expressed that they refuse to allow themselves to be distracted from its mission as Ngizwe Mchunu had issued some remarks regarding leader of the EFF Julius Malema.

During last week’s march against illegal foreigners in Durban, Mchunu had remarked that Malema is not welcome in KwaZulu-Natal and labelled him as corrupt and also announced the same thing at the protests in Eastern Cape on Monday.

Vukani Ndlovu who serves as the EFF provincial Secretary in KwaZulu-Natal, has dismissed these remarks as something no more than just attention seeking and that they should not be taken seriously.

“We don’t have time for nincompoops called Ngizwe. We are in a serious fight against white monopoly capital, and the rise in petrol, which will definitely plunge this country into a serious crisis, so who is Ngizwe? Our people are hungry, starving, and unemployed. The homeless are victims of drugs and crime and will not eat the insults of Ngizwe” said Ndlovu.

This is not the first time that Ngizwe has gone on to make these claims about the EFF leader, as in 2024 during the national elections, Mchunu went on to claim that Malema is banned from KZN and that Malema can only enter the province after his death.

Mchunu even went as far as to disrupt an EFF rally which was being held at the Moses Mabida stadium by hosting a festival a kilometre away from the stadium, which was eventually shut down due to Mchunu being unable to secure a permit.

He has also accused Malema of sabotaging his event as well as holding tribalist ideals stating that KwaZulu-Natal is only for Zulu people and that Malema should stay in Limpopo.
