Seyed Mostafa Daryabari
CULTURAL COUNSELLOR OF THE EMBASSY OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN (PRETORIA)

We are from Allah, and to Him, we shall return

It is with the deepest sorrow that I inform you of the passing of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayed Ebrahim Raisi.

Deepest condolences to the Iranian nation, to friends and lovers of Iran. A giant tree has fallen.

Besides President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Governor of East Azerbaijan Province, and the Friday Prayer Leader of Tabrizon-board the crashed copter who were all martyred. The helicopter crashed on a mountainous region in the Northwestern province of East Azerbaijan on Sunday.

Ayatollah Sayed Ibrahim Raisi was a revolutionary, a man of God, a life-long champion of freedom and justice, a great lover of the Iranian nation who defended our Constitution to the very end.

When the Muslim world turned a blind eye to the atrocities happening in Palestine, he stood up and acted and dedicated his government and revolutionary forces to the Islamic Resistance in Palestine.

His dedication towards the poor and the oppressed children of Palestine confirms that his passing will revive the revolutionary spirit in all of us.

The enemy should not rejoice as more of his calibre will emerge.
