The United States President Donald Trump has now withdrawn the United States from several key International Organizations, most notably ones that particularly deal with Climate Change.

The United States has withdrawn from over 66 organizations as half of them are United Nations (UN) related which includes the Framework Convention-on Climate Change, a treaty which aims to underpin all efforts to combat climate change on the International Stage.

Some of these groups include organizations that tackle development, gender equality and conflict, ideals which Trump has overtly dismissed as organizations that advance “woke” and “globalist” agendas.

Trump’s administration has highlighted that these organizations no longer serve America’s interests and has also highlighted that they promote “hostile agendas. This decision was implemented from Wednesday as the US government has cited that these organizations are a waste of tax payer money.

A prominent organization that the United States has withdrawn from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which leads the globe regarding climate science as well as pulling together reports on the science of rising global temperatures.

The United States have now blocked their own scientists from attending a meeting in China regarding climate science and climate change.

Other organizations that are affected by the US withdrawal include bodies that focus on clean energy co-operation, international security and democratic governance which include The International Institute of Democracy and Electoral Assistance, the Global Counter Terrorism Forum.

Trump has gone as far as terminating funding to various organizations that he does not align with as he rejected the science of man-made climate change. The United States has also withdrawn from the World Health Organization (WHO), the UN Human Rights Council, and the UN’s cultural umbrella, UNESCO.
