The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, declared that The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of the Monarch Mohammed VI, is now asserting itself as an “emerging power” in Africa, thanks to its remarkable achievements and resolutely modern choices.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Adesina emphasized that Morocco is engaged in a strong dynamic of transformation, as highlighted in the speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the glorious Throne Day, marked by the regularity and consistency of its progress, both economic and social.
Morocco’s strategic positioning is part of a clear and ambitious vision based on an integrated development strategy—economic, social, and environmental—that relies on stable governance and thoughtful choices, he said. He noted that this methodical and determined approach has enabled the Kingdom to establish itself as one of the most advanced nations on the African continent.
Mr. Adesina emphasized that the Industrial renewal, particularly in the automotive, aerospace, and renewable energy sectors, illustrates this increase in capacity and range, supported by a very ambitious infrastructure policy and a solid macroeconomic environment, which reinforce the Kingdom’s attractiveness to international investors.
“Driven by the vast development projects initiated by His Majesty the King, our relations with the Kingdom continue to strengthen, in order to accompany and support these multifaceted advances for the benefit of the country and the Moroccan people,” he concluded.
