United States President Donald Trump is furious over the recent comments made by South African comedian Trevor Noah, after he made a joke at expense of Trump regarding his involvement with notorious deceased sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein at the Grammy’s this past Sunday.
“Song of the year-that is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton” said Noah at the Grammy’s this Sunday.
Trump has been known to be associated with Epstein for a number of years, however Trump has denied being unaware or involved in Epstein’s crimes, as he claims the two had an irreparable fall out since 2004.
Despite this link, there has been no clear evidence that Trump ever visited Epstein’s infamous island or that he has been accused by any of his victims. Even the Department of Justice in the US has expressed that any accusations linking Trump to the island are false and unfounded.
Upon hearing Noah’s remark at the Grammy’s event, Trump has threatened litigation against the comedian.
“Noah said, incorrectly about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein island. Wrong!!!” Trump on his social media platform Truth Social. “I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media” Trump wrote further.
Epstein had owned this island since 1998 where various survivors had claimed that they were abused and trafficked on this island.
Epstein was found dead in his prison cell in 2019 as he was awaiting trial on his crimes regarding sex-trafficking, after he had been charged and convicted of soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2009.
